About FarmAnchor Global

We are a Ghanaian agribusiness. We buy fresh produce directly from farms, supply institutions and businesses, and export selected products.

Our story

Ghanaian farmers grow good produce, but they often get only a small part of what buyers pay for it. A tomato or a pineapple can go through four or five traders before it reaches a kitchen. It costs more and is less fresh at every stage, and a lot of the harvest spoils on the way.

Buyers have the opposite problem. Prices change every week, quality is hard to predict and supply can run out when they need it most.

FarmAnchor Global was set up to shorten that chain. We buy directly from partner farms, then collect, grade and pack the produce and deliver it to institutions and businesses in Ghana. We also export some products. Farmers get more buyers and better prices, and buyers get supply they can rely on.

Our mission
To connect farmers to profitable markets through a transparent, efficient, and sustainable produce supply chain.
Our vision
To become the most trusted link between local farms and global markets.

Our values

How we work with farmers and buyers.

  • Transparency

Clear prices for farmers and buyers, and early warning when a harvest changes.

  • Reliability

We plan supply ahead so that what we promise arrives when we said it would.

  • Fairness

Farmers get a fair price for what they grow, and they get paid on time.

  • Sustainability

Less produce wasted after harvest, better farming practice and steady work with the same farmers year after year.

Where each grade goes

Because we supply three kinds of buyer, we can buy more of each harvest. The best fruit goes to export, Grade A to hotels and shops, and Grade B to schools and processors. Less goes to waste and farmers sell more of what they grow.

  1. 1

    Export grade

Even size, colour and finish, packed to export specification.

    International buyers
  2. 2

    Grade A

Produce ready for the shelf or the buffet.

    Hotels, restaurants and retail
  3. 3

    Grade B

Sound produce for school kitchens, canteens and processing.

    Institutions and processors

Fewer middlemen between the farm and you

In most Ghanaian produce markets, crops pass through four or five traders before they reach a buyer. Each one adds cost and time, and produce spoils along the way. We buy from the farm and sell to you, so there is only one business in between.

How produce usually moves

  1. Farmer
  2. Village collector
  3. Market trader
  4. Wholesaler
  5. Retailer
  6. Buyer
  • Farmers sell at the farm gate for a small share of the final price
  • Produce changes hands several times and loses freshness
  • Prices and quality change from week to week
  • A lot of the harvest spoils before anyone buys it

How we do it

  1. Farmer
  2. FarmAnchor Global
  3. Buyer
  • Farmers sell to us at prices agreed before harvest
  • Fewer handling steps, so produce arrives fresher
  • Buyers get graded produce at steady prices
  • Planned harvests and proper crates mean less waste

Our impact

What a shorter supply chain means for farmers and for Ghana.

  • Higher farmer incomes

When farmers sell directly, more of the final price stays with them.

  • Less waste after harvest

Planned harvests, proper crates and quicker transport mean less produce rots before it is sold.

  • Fresher food for Ghana

A shorter supply chain gets fresher, safer produce to schools, hospitals and homes.

  • Jobs for young people and women

Collection, grading and transport create work in farming communities.
